Unscheduled water cut affects seven regions, including KL, PJ, Shah Alam, says Air Selangor

SHAH ALAM: Seven Air Selangor regions, namely Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor, are experiencing unscheduled water supply disruption.

In a statement on Facebook, Air Selangor said the water supply disruption was due to the temporary shutdown of four water treatment plants (LRA) following an odour pollution incident at Sungai Kundang and Sungai Sembah Tuesday (July 23).

The four LRAs are the Rantau Panjang WTP, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2) and Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3).

"Alternative assistance through water tankers has been mobilised to the affected areas by prioritising critical premises. Air Selangor is making every effort to minimise the impact of disruptions on affected users,” it said.

For more information, consumers can refer to the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and X, call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 or visit www.airselangor.com. - Bernama
