KL fire dept aims to have over 4,000 safety managers, safety officers appointed by 2026


KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department aims to have over 4,000 fire safety managers and fire safety officers appointed by 2026, under the establishment of the Fire Safety Organisation.

Its acting director Rozihan Anwar Mamat said the fire safety managers and fire safety officers are appointed by the owner, occupant, or person responsible for the overall management of the premises, in line with the establishment of the Fire Safety Organisation and the amendments to the Fire Services Act 1988 (Act 341).
