Perak to enact new law to control strays, roaming animals

IPOH: The Perak State Assembly has passed a motion for a new enactment to control strays and roaming animals.

There were no objections to the formation of the new enactment after the winding-up speech by Angeline Koo Haai Yen (PH-Keranji) during the state assembly sitting here on Wednesday (July 10).

Perak Speaker Datuk Mohammed Zahir Abdul Khalid said a committee would be set up to discuss the matter.

Koo made the proposal at the state assembly sitting on Tuesday (July 9).

He said stray animals, roaming cattle and buffaloes have been a persistent problem in the state for decades and an enactment was required to address the issue.
