PETALING JAYA: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad made a surprise visit to the Faisal Halim household on Saturday (June 22).
The Selangor winger, who is recovering from an acid attack incident on May 5, revealed on his Instagram page that the former premier met him and his loved ones at his residence.
"I never expected this great man to visit me. Thank you, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, for spending time with and visiting my loved ones," he said in his post.
"Insyallah, I will stay strong and work hard to return to the game one day. Thank you for always praying."
Previously, Dr Mahathir had spoken about the case, urging the authorities to find the culprit behind the attack, which occurred at a shopping mall in Damansara on May 5.
"An acid attack on an athlete has never happened in the past. Never. We need to find the culprit and take immediate action because this should not happen in sports," he said.
