Klang lorry driver nabbed over wife's murder


KLANG: A 31-year-old lorry driver has been nabbed here and remanded for seven days on suspicion of murdering his 28-year-old wife.

South Klang OCPD ACP Cha Hoong Fong said the suspect was nabbed on June 7.

He added the police received a call at 7.58am on June 7, claiming that his brother had killed his wife at the Palma Apartments in Bandar Botanic here.

"Early investigations found that the incident happened at about 7am. A local woman lying in bed with slash marks on her neck and right hand," said ACP Cha.

He added that the suspect and the victim, a factory operator, had been facing marital problems since they married two years ago.

The couple have a six-month old baby.

A post-mortem examination on the victim found 12 slash wounds on the victim and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
