SPM 2023: About 10,000 candidates did not sit for exam


PUTRAJAYA: About 10,000 Form Five students last year did not sit for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2023.

Despite it being a higher number, Education director-general Azman Adnan said the number has decreased significantly.

In 2022, 30,000 of them did not sit for the SPM 2022 examinations.

“We will identify and analyse the reasons one by one and carry out interventions to ensure this issue is properly tackled,” he said after announcing the SPM 2023 results analysis on Monday (May 27).

A total of 395,870 candidates sat for the national examination last year.
