Shopper survives person falling five floors onto her

A WOMAN fell from the fifth floor of a shopping mall, injuring a shopper below, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The 52-year-old woman, known only as Li, did not survive the fall.

She died on the spot in the 4pm incident last Saturday in Nansha district in Guangzhou, China.

The shopper, however, miraculously escaped with only a slight concussion and superficial injuries. She was discharged from the hospital the same day.

The daily quoted her as saying: “If you survive a catastrophe, you will be blessed later.”

Based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, Li was wandering on the fifth floor of the shopping mall before the incident.

The shopper was at the atrium of the mall at that time.

The shopper, in her social media post, said she was about to go home when the incident took place.

“I could not move for a while and thought I was dead.

“The chance of this happening to someone is one in 10 million. Fortunately, I was not seriously injured.

“If this is a necessary disaster in my life, I have safely passed it,” she said.

> China Press reported that a man was caught after he masturbated in a public library and then smeared a sleeping teenager’s thigh and shorts with his semen.

The man, identified only by his surname Shi, went behind the bookshelves after seeing the teenager, who was resting her head on her arms at a desk in the library in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Upon waking up, the teen found something “sticky” on her thigh and shorts.

Police arrested Shi based on CCTV footage.

After hearing the case, a court sentenced Shi to 50 days of criminal detention in accordance with the law.

The court also granted the conversion of the detention sentence to a fine, subject to appeal.
