Sabah Education Dept told to probe claims of stale food served in school canteen

KOTA KINABALU: School canteen operators who neglect cleanliness will face stern action, says Sabah Education executive committee chief Datuk Mohd Ariffin Arif.

He said this in response to a claim on social media that a canteen at a secondary school in the state was serving stale and contaminated food to students.

He said the Sabah Education Department had been directed to investigate the claim.

"I read about this issue on social media and want a full report from the state education director so we can resolve the matter," he told reporters at the Sabah Brunei Community Association Hari Raya Aidilfitiri celebration 2024 on Sunday (April 28).
