Hanif Omar to be laid to rest at Bukit Kiara Cemetery

KUALA LUMPUR: The location where former IGP Tan Sri Hanif Omar will be laid to rest has been changed to the Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery.

Initially, the deceased was reported to be laid to rest at Makam Pahlawan, Masjid Negara, according to IGP Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

However, the location for the funeral had been moved to Bukit Kiara based on confirmation by Bukit Aman corporate communication secretariat.

The "solat jenazah" was performed at Masjid Negara shortly after the Zohor prayer before the deceased was then transported to Bukit Kiara via a police van.

Among those who were at Masjid Negara were IGP Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, former IGPs Tan Sri Musa Hassan and Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, former Deputy IGPs Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor and Tan Sri Bakri Zinin as well as other top police officers.
