Snatch theft suspect identified by Klang cops


KLANG: A 24-year-old man is believed to be involved in a snatch theft that caused a woman to fall off her motorcycle and suffer multiple injuries near a school at Persiaran Raja Muda Musa.

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong said they initially received a report from the 20-year-old woman on Monday (April 15).

"She claimed that the incident occurred at around 8.50am while she was riding her Yamaha motorcycle to work.

"She claimed that she was riding along Persiaran Raja Muda Musa when a man approached her on another motorcycle from behind and grabbed her sling bag," he said in a statement on Friday (April 19).

He said the woman fell off her motorcycle and suffered multiple injuries.

"We opened an investigation paper under Section 394 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt in a robbery.

"Based on our intelligence and investigations, we have identified the suspect involved," he said adding that they were looking for Muhammaed Syafi'ei Hasan, 24.

He urged anyone with information on the suspect to contact the South Klang police headquarters at 03-3376 2222.
