Ruang eruption: Batik Air now cancels flights from KL to Sabah, Sarawak


PETALING JAYA: The number of airlines affected by the volcanic eruption in Sulawesi, Indonesia has grown, with Batik Air the latest to announce flight cancellations.

Batir Air said several flights scheduled to and from KL International Airport to Sabah and Sarawak on April 18 had been cancelled.

"We understand the inconvenience this may cause and assure you that the safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority.

"Batik Air will diligently monitor the situation and communicate any updates regarding our flight schedule to and from the affected destinations directly to our passengers.

"Additionally, timely updates will be accessible on our websites and social media channels," it said in a statement.

Batik Air said it is also actively working to assist affected passengers by arranging alternative flights.
