Mom sobs at scene of son’s death in Melaka


MELAKA: A heart-wrenching video has emerged here in which a mother is seen crying uncontrollably at an accident scene after her teenage son was killed on the eve of Hari Raya.

The 19-second clip shared on social media shows the woman wailing loudly after seeing her son's lifeless body covered in a white cloth at 1.04am on Tuesday (April 9).

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit identified the victim as 19-year-old Muhammad Amin Fakhrullah Mohd Faiez from Pantai Kundor here.

He said the victim succumbed to severe head injuries on the spot after his motorcycle collided with an oncoming car along Jalan Tanjung Minyak in Bukit Rambai.

ACP Christopher Patit said the car was driven by a 22-year-old student and the victim was on his way home when the accident happened.

He said an investigation has been initiated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death due to reckless driving.
