Johor cops nab biker performing stunts on NSE


MUAR: A 20-year-old man has been arrested by the police after he was caught on video performing motorcycle stunts along the North-South Expressway.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the man was arrested in Kampung Sri Pantai, Mersing at around 4am on Thursday (March 28).

"He performed dangerous motorcycle stunts at KM139 on the north-bound lane of the highway.

"His actions were captured on a 29-second video, which went viral on social media," he said in a statement, adding that the suspect's motorcycle was also seized.

The suspect has been remanded for three days for investigations under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

ACP Raiz Mukhliz urged the public, especially youths, to refrain from riding recklessly or perform stunts that put themselves and others at risk.
