Qing Ming a time for family and tradition, says Dr Wee


KUALA LUMPUR: Qing Ming, which falls on April 4 is an occasion that enables family members to remember their ancestors and introduce the practice to the younger generation.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said he and his family paid their respects to their ancestors and departed loved ones.

"The ceremony is a new experience that is important for the younger generation which has been practised for generations," he said on Facebook on Sunday (March 24).

Dr Wee hoped everyone would have a meaningful time with their families during Qing Ming.

He also urged those who are travelling, to drive safely and be vigilant on the road.

In his Facebook post, Dr Wee also posted several pictures of him and his family paying homage to their family ancestors at a cemetery.

Wearing a pink t-shirt he can be seen with his family members and relatives visiting and praying at the graves.
