Perak MACC nabs three over false payment claims


IPOH: The Perak Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have remanded three individuals for allegedly providing false payment claims.

Ipoh Magistrate Court Noor Azreen Liyana Mohd Darus granted the remand order for the three men to be detained for four days starting Thursday (March 21).

The three individuals - a company owner, a grazing field chairman and a civil servant - allegedly falsified invoices for payments to supply and ship certified imported dairy goats, meat goats and sheep for a livestock project in Perak Tengah worth RM836,798.

They were arrested on Wednesday (March 20).

The case will be investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act.
