Local Ghazal maestros to perform at resort’s Ramadan buka puasa buffet in Melaka

MELAKA: A hotelier hopes to use Ghazal covers of Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza’s song to attract visitors

Bayou Lagoon Park Resort CEO Datuk Marco Seow said he intends to liven up the resort’s annual Ramadan buka puasa buffet by inviting local Ghazal maestros to cover the "Malaysian Pop Queen’s" popular songs using traditional musical instruments.

"We all long to have Siti Nurhaliza perform at our hotel, but this is just wishful thinking," Seow quipped during the Ramadan buffet preview launch at the hotel in Ayer Keroh on Friday (March 8).

Seow said talented Ghazal singers would perform during the Ramadan buka puasa buffet at the resort throughout the holy month to entertain the dinners.

He also unveiled the selection of kampung and contemporary cuisines to be available during the buffet.

He said the hotel's chefs would also be at cooking stations to prepare certain dishes.

Seow also plans to work with a state charity association to host a Ramadan buffet for orphanages.

"We will also invite the less fortunate to savour our cuisine spread at our hotel during the fasting months," he added.
