Restaurant in Bandar Cheras razed in fire


KUALA LUMPUR: A restaurant in Kampung Baru Cina in Bandar Cheras was razed in a fire.

The fire, which occurred at 6.02pm, also damaged seven nearby vehicles.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said fire engines and more than 10 firemen from two fire stations were dispatched to the scene.

"The restaurant was 80% burnt.

"The fire was under control by 6.17pm.

"No one was hurt during the incident," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 28).

"The vehicles were burnt between 1% and 10%," he added.
