Body of missing teen found near Lumut

IPOH: The body of a 14-year-old boy, one of three teenagers who went missing in a river in Segari near Lumut, has been found.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department director Sayani Saidon said the body was found at 9.05am on Tuesday (Feb 13) some 500m from his last known location.

“A search is ongoing to find the other two boys, both 16," she said in a statement.

The three friends had gone fishing and swimming on Monday (Feb 12) at Sungai Sempit in Kg Tanjung Batu Segari in Pantai Remis.

The department received a distress call at 3.26pm on Monday.

The three have been identified as Chew Darumaraj, 14; G. Sarath and T. Eishwarpillai, both 16.
