CNY open house events await visitors in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: A series of open house events await visitors this Chinese New Year to heighten the festive celebration.

Several notable events have been confirmed to treat attendees with an array of food as well as cultural performances.

On Feb 11, Penang Chinese Town Hall (PCTH) will host its open house in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling from 9am on Feb 11.

On the same day, Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow is also hosting a Chinese New Year open house at SPICE Arena in Bayan Baru from 2pm to 4pm.

Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak and his wife Toh Puan Khadijah Mohd Nor have so far agreed to attend the celebration.

On Feb 13, Penang DAP will host its open house at Ng Yam Huat Hall in Bukit Mertajam at noon.

On Feb 20, Penang MCA will host their dinner at Fulhouse Restaurant, Bukit Mertajam at 7pm.

However, the event is open only to invited guests.

On March 2, Penang YMCA Deaf Club will host their open house at YMCA Penang in Jalan Macalister from noon to 5pm.

Guests are encouraged to contribute to liven up the potluck spirit.

Meanwhile, various property developers, banks and education institutions are also hosting their own versions of open houses, with information of the events displayed on their social media sites.
