HONG Kong superstar Andy Lau (pic) had his fair share of crazy fans in his career, one of whom had even hid under his bed just to catch a glimpse of him, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The 62-year-old recounted an incident when he was filming A World Without Thieves in China 2004 when his masseuse heard a sound coming from below his bed.

Lau found a teenager hiding there.

“There was a child, who was 16 years old, hiding underneath the bed for one whole day,” he said during a press conference promoting The Movie Emperor.

Rather than calling the police, Lau fed the starving teen and even had a chat with him for over an hour.

According to Lau, the teenager harboured dreams of leaving his farming village to find work in the city.

Many Internet users praised Lau for the compassion he showed to the young fan.

“The young boy met a good person. Hope he is doing well right now,” one netizen wrote.

During the press conference, Lau was asked about the demanding action scenes in the film.

He brought up his injury in 2017 when he fell off a horse, which caused him to develop a phobia of the animal.

> Hong Kong actress Jacqueline Wong – who was embroiled in a cheating scandal with singer Andy Hui in 2019 – had wanted to apologise to the latter’s wife Sammi Cheng but was stopped by TVB, the daily also reported. Speaking during a radio talk show recently, Wong responded to criticisms that she owed Cheng an apology for her behaviour.

“I remember on the first day (when the news broke), I asked my company whether I could hold a press conference to apologise.

“However, the company was afraid that I would be scolded and hounded and advised me not to do it,” she said.

Wong left Hong Kong and stayed in the United States for eight months to avoid the press.

During that time, reporters hounded Wong’s sister and father for updates.

Wong thanked them for never having complained about the ordeal.

It was reported that in 2019, Wong was embroiled in the scandal after being caught kissing Hui who was already married to Cheng.

The scandal grabbed headlines across the Hong Kong press for several months.
