KUALA LUMPUR: The decision by the Pardons Board is expected to be announced on Friday (Feb 2), says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“I believe so,” the Prime Minister said when asked by reporters whether the announcement would be made today (Friday).

He was met after Friday prayers at Masjid Jamek here.
Earlier, Anwar told the media to wait for the official announcement by the board.
He said this following talk of the alleged commutation of convicted former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s sentence.
“The decision is on the Pardons Board,” he said briefly after having lunch at the Pertama Complex food court here.

Asked if the decision had been determined, he said: “Yes, it has been determined. Wait for the announcement from the Pardons Board.”
Najib is currently serving a 12-year sentence after being found guilty of abuse of power, criminal breach of trust, and money laundering in relation to RM42mil in funds from SRC International, a former 1MDB subsidiary.
