Harimau Malaya fan who sold bike to fund Asian Cup trip gets a new motorcycle

"Derrick continued supporting and became the 12th player of Harimau Malaya team! Forever a Malayan Tiger!" Modenas said in a social media post.

Gan, 30 made the news recently after he sold his bike for RM4,500 to make it to Qatar for the Harimau Malaya match against South Korea, after advertising it on Facebook in December last year.

Gan had earlier said the bike was the only motorcycle in his life although he had a car, used by his wife.

"But I didn't mind selling the bike because I really wanted to go to Qatar to cheer for Harimau Malaya in this historic round of football," he was quoted as saying.
