Sukma 2024 events to be held in nine Sarawak divisions

SIBU: Events for the 2024 Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Sarawak from Aug 17 to 24 will take place in nine divisions.

"Sukma events this year will take place in Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Serian, Betong, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, and Miri. It is spread out so more people can attend each event," said Datuk Abdul Karim Hamzah.

The Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Minister said this at the 2024 Sarawak Games (Suksar) closing ceremony on Thursday (Jan 18). He attended as a representative of Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

There are a total of 12 divisions in Sarawak. The state is set to host Sukma from Aug 17 to 24.
