Negri approves SOP for mining REE

SEREMBAN: The standard operating procedures (SOP) for mining of rare earth elements (REE) in the state, which include mandatory joint ventures with Mentri Besar Inc (MBINS) before companies are allowed to operate, have been approved by the state government.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said collaboration with the state corporation was necessary to allow the state authorities to effectively monitor and control REE mining in the state.
