TWO Malaysians have been named in the world’s 100 most Beautiful and Handsome Faces of 2023, China Press reported.

Actress and model Anna Jobling was featured once again in the renowned TC Candler’s 100 Most Beautiful Faces list, ranking at 66th spot this year.

Anna rose a few spots from 2022, where she was ranked 84 in the list.

Joining her is Selangor-born actor Meerqeen (Muhammad Shameer Shauqeen Shaiful Izam) who was listed in 100 Most Handsome Faces list of 2023.

He dropped from 55th spot in 2022 to the 62th spot.

Nancy from South Korean girl group Momoland and American-French actor Timothee Chalamet topped the list respectively.

> A woman in Taipei, Taiwan, who took up a challenge to down eight cocktails in 821 seconds, had died, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The woman passed out in the middle of the challenge at a bar and her boyfriend took her home.

He put her to sleep without noticing anything amiss and left her house.

The woman’s mother who tried to wake her up the next day found that she had died.

Forensic autopsy confirmed that the woman died of pneumonia and the cause of death was “natural death”.

> A man from China who was suffering from colon cancer found five flat worms in his bile duct, China Press reported.

Doctors discovered the parasites during an endoscopy screening conducted on the man before undergoing a bile duct surgery.

The doctor quickly removed the parasites, prescribed drugs to treat such infections and arranged for the man to undergo chemotherapy for the cancer.

It is believed that the man consumed contaminated raw fish or undercooked shrimps where the parasite larvae may have entered the bile ducts and feed on the bile.

Most such cases are asymptomatic and patients are usually unaware of the parasites.
