Two friends of murdered accountant nabbed to help probe


KUALA LUMPUR: Two men have been arrested to assist investigations into the murder of an accountant.

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin said the two men, who were friends of the victim, were detained on Tuesday (Dec 12).

"Both have been detained to assist our investigations. The scene of the murder has yet to be determined.

"The two men, aged 25 and 35, have been remanded until Dec 18," he said on Wednesday (Dec 13).

ACP Zam Halim added that a post-mortem determined that the cause of death was "multiple blunt force trauma".

"The motive is still being investigated," he added.

On Monday (Dec 11), the body of the 28-year-old accountant was found naked and lying face down on Jalan Kuari, Kampung Cheras Baru.
