Five hurt in seven-vehicle pile-up in Penang


GEORGE TOWN: Five people were hurt in a seven vehicle pile-up near Universiti Sains Malaysia on Jalan Bukit Gambir here.

The accident occurred at 3pm on Monday (Nov 27) when a car went out of control swerved into other the path of other vehicles at a traffic light junction.

Two drivers of two other cars and three riders on motorcycles were injured with one breaking his leg.

The George Town district police department said investigations are being conducted under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act for driving without due care and attention.
