Zahid doing well after surgery, says daughter


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is in good health and recovering well from surgery, says his daughter Datuk Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid.

She said the surgery was supposed to have been performed much earlier but was delayed due to the Deputy Prime Minister's packed schedule.

"My father is well after going through surgery on Thursday (Nov 16) despite the fact that it was postponed due to his tight schedule. My dad is someone who always puts others first," she said in an Instagram post on Sunday (Nov 19).

She also shared a photo of Ahmad Zahid having breakfast.

Nurulhidayah said her family has been spending time with her father to help him recover so he can continue serving the nation.

She added that her father needs to adopt a healthy lifestyle by healthy eating, staying active and also getting enough rest.

She also urged people to not spread unverified information.
