Two-year jail sentence for wife beater

KUALA PILAH: A 46-year-old man has been sentenced to two years in jail after he pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here to a charge of assaulting his wife.

Ismail Ibrahim, a livestock farmer, did not contest the charge after it was read to him before magistrate Saiful Sayoti.
