Malaysia optimistic FDI from Japan to exceed RM30bil this year, says Anwar


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is optimistic that foreign direct investments (FDI) from Japan will exceed RM30bil (US$6.33bil) in 2023, signifying Japanese investors’ unwavering confidence towards Malaysia, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday (Nov 5).

He said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz had informed him that there would be new investments coming from Japan this year.
