KUALA LUMPUR: The adoption of the Framework of Cooperation 2024-2028 between the Asean and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) blocs is best described as historic, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"This is historic in the sense that the GCC and Asean are two small regional groups that are economically very vibrant, and we are entering this collaboration without the influence of the big powers,” the Prime Minister said in an interview with Arab News on the sidelines of the Asean-GCC Summit in Riyadh on Friday (Oct 20).
