Muafakat Nasional's Tun Faisal, four others enter Dang Wangi police HQ

KUALA LUMPUR: Muafakat Nasional supreme council member Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz and four others have entered the Dang Wangi police headquarters.

The five entered the police headquarters at around 2.30pm, and Tun Faisal is one of the organisers of the "Save Malaysia" rally.

It is learnt that they are lodging the report to urge the government to charge Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Ahmad Zahid was granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal for all 47 graft charges involving Yayasan Akalbudi funds by the High Court after Deputy Public Prosecutor Datuk Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar applied for the charges against Zahid to be dropped at the onset of the hearings on Sept 4.

This was after the Attorney General's Chambers accepted a letter sent by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) seeking a review of the charges against Ahmad Zahid on Feb 20 2023, according to Ahmad Zahid’s lawyers’ statement.
