Teen cyclist knocks into house wall after being chased by a dog

IPOH: A 14-year-old boy who was chased by a dog while cycling suffered injuries after knocking into a wall of a house here.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan said a police report was lodged at the Kg Rapat police station after the incident at about 11.30am on Sunday (Aug 20) at Taman Rapat Permai.

He said the victim suffered a broken shoulder bone that required surgery.

“The victim’s 40-year-old father lodged the report after his son had difficulties breathing, and sustained injuries near his chest.

“The victim told his father that when he was cycling back home, he was chased by a dog, which resulted in him knocking into a wall of a house.

“When the victim fell off the bicycle, the dog ran away,” he added.

ACP Yahaya said the owner of the house denied that the dog belonged to them.

“A complaint has been made with the Ipoh City Council over the matter,” he added.
