State polls: Azmin says confident of high voter turnout


HULU KELANG: Selangor Perikatan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is confident of a high voter turnout for the state elections on Saturday (Aug 12).

Arriving at SK Klang Gate, here to cast his vote, the Hulu Kelang candidate was all smiles in his home ground of Klang Gate.

He was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Shamshida Taharin and maternal aunt Che Bee Yahya, who is in her 80s.

In 1999, Azmin won the Hulu Kelang seat under PKR following the dismissal and imprisonment of then deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in 1998 by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
