Five supercar drivers questioned by cops for reckless driving

KOTA TINGGI: Police have called up five supercar drivers over an investigation where a fleet of Lamborghinis were seen overtaking other vehicles dangerously on the Senai Desaru Expressway (SDE).

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said police received a report over the incident at 10am on Saturday (July 29).

"We received a video showing supercars overtaking dangerously, which could have resulted in an accident.

"The vehicles were heading towards Bandar Penawar from Senai. We identified five drivers and called them in for questioning at 11.40am on Saturday," he said in a statement.

The drivers, aged between 44 and 64, were local men and were attending a programme in Penawar, he added.

The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.

"We would like to remind the public to always adhere to the law and be considerate of other road users," he added.
