State polls: Talk rife that a S'gor PKR candidate may be swapped at eleventh hour


KLANG: The PKR grapevine is abuzz with talk that a party candidate for a Selangor state seat in the Aug 12 state election will be changed.

A PKR insider said the candidate for Kota Damansara would be changed.

"For Kota Damansara, Aidi Amin Yazid, who was named as the candidate, will probably be replaced by Selangor PKR youth chief Muhammad Izuan Kasim," said the insider.

He also added that there was already a change in Bukit Selambau, Kedah, with the seat being returned to incumbent R. Summugam.

Summugam was initially dropped and replaced by R. Suntharajoo.

PKR Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced Summugam as the candidate at an event Thursday (July 27) night.

When met an at event at the state secretariat on Friday afternoon, caretaker mentri besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said he was not aware of any change.

Amirudin, who is the Selangor PKR chief, added that he will call party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to check on the matter.
