State polls: Two DAP reps to defend seats in Kedah

GEORGE TOWN: Two Kedah DAP incumbent assemblymen are set to defend their constituencies in the state polls on Aug 12.

Kedah DAP chairman Tan Kok Yew will defend Derga while Teh Swee Leong will defend Kota Darul Aman.

The announcement was made by DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke here while announcing the party's line-up for Penang.

In the last general election, Tan won with a majority of 5,265 votes, defeating PAS' Yahya Saad and Gerakan's Cheah Soon Hai.

Teh won with a majority of 8,468 votes, defeating candidates from MCA, PAS and PRM.
