PETALING JAYA: The death of a 10 year-old girl at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang is under investigation, says Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

“The incident is under investigation by the authorities and I seek the cooperation of all parties to respect the privacy of the family,” she said in a Facebook post relaying her condolences to Dea Maisarah Bada’s family on behalf of the Health Ministry.

“Together, let us pray for Allahyarhamah’s soul to be at peace and protected by the Almighty. Hope her family is strong enough to face this tough test,” the Health Minister said in her post.

On Friday (July 14), HTAR director Dr Zulkarnain Mohd Rawi said the hospital will conduct an investigation into the recent death of a 10-year-old child while receiving treatment at the hospital.

This came after a video clip went viral on TikTok, where the girl’s father had claimed that she died while struggling as her blood was being drawn.

The girl was taken to the hospital on July 9 following fever and flu.
