Selangor MB granted audience with Sultan to get consent to dissolve state legislative assembly


KLANG: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari had an audience with state Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah before the latter left for Mecca.

It is understood that Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin were scheduled to perform the Haj early next week.

The meeting was held at the Istana Alam Shah here after the arrival of Sultan Sharafuddin at about 5.30pm.

According to sources, the meeting was to obtain royal consent from Sultan Sharafuddin to dissolve the state legislative assembly pending the upcoming state polls.

The five-year term of the Selangor Legislative Assembly and all state’s elected representatives will end on June 25.
