According to Selangor Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail the incident occurred at 6.28am on Saturday (May 27).

"Two fire engines and 13 firemen from the Batu Arang and Rawang Fire Stations were dispatched to the scene.

"They arrived at 6.36am and found that a fire had occurred on the ground floor of the two-storey terrace house, but was put out by members of the public before Fire and Rescue Department personnel arrived at the scene," he said when contacted on Saturday.

He said personnel then went in to conduct an overhaul of the house to ensure that the fire would not reignite.
