Body in septic tank: Perak police looking for couple


IPOH: The police are looking for a husband and wife after a corpse was found in the septic tank of a house in Kuala Kangsar.

Kuala Kangsar OCPD Asst Comm Omar Bakhtiar Yaacob said the couple is believed to be housemates of the deceased.

"The body was found inside the tank around midnight on May 14. Based on our investigation, the deceased is an Indonesian man in his 40s.

"The tank was located behind the house and the deceased was found in a sarong and was shirtless," he said in a statement on Monday (May 15).

"The post-mortem was conducted at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital. It was revealed that he died from a head injury due to blunt trauma," said Comm Omar Bakhtiar, adding police believe the couple have fled.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
