Teratai state seat to be given to DAP

PETALING JAYA: The Teratai state seat will be given to DAP following Warisan assemblyman Bryan Lai’s decision to sit out the coming Selangor state elections, says Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

“We will follow the results from the 14th General Election in 2018, where DAP won the seat.

“There will be no changes in which party will contest for the Teratai seat, and the DAP will represent the unity government,” he said.

Amirudin was responding to reporters during the launch of Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung’s service centre here yesterday.

Lai quit DAP in April 2021 to be an independent candidate before joining Warisan in January 2022.
