THE annual meeting of the Perak branch of Malaysia Hindu Sangam (MHS) was thrown into disarray when the national council unexpectedly announced an entirely new committee for the state, reported Makkal Osai.

Its president, T. Ganesan, announced the appointment during the 46th annual meeting of the state branch.

He said the appointment of the new team - headed by Shangkaran Sekaran Perumal as president and Periyasami Narayanasami as deputy president had been sanctioned by 27 committee members.

However, the delegates at the meeting slammed MHS national management’s decision before compromising with the new appointments.
