Tree falls on three cars along MRR2

KUALA LUMPUR: Three vehicles were damaged after a tree fell on them along the Middle Ring Road 2 near Bandar Tasik Selatan here.

The City Fire and Rescue Department operations control centre said the department received a distress call at 3.19pm.

“When they [the personnel] arrived about 10 minutes later, they found that a tree had fallen on three vehicles, and this was blocking the road,” the department said.

It said no one was injured in the incident, adding that the tree was removed with help from personnel from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall and the Civil Defence Force.

Meanwhile, flash floods were reported along Jalan Sepadu in Taman United here and the Old Town Food Court area of Petaling Jaya in Selangor following a heavy afternoon downpour.
