HR Minister’s private secretary nabbed in MACC probe


PUTRAJAYA: Another officer of Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The officer, believed to be holding the post of private secretary, was arrested early Friday (April 14) when she was summoned by the anti-graft agency for her statement to be recorded.

A remand order for four days until April 17 had been obtained.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed the arrest.

This is the second arrest involving Sivakumar’s officers this week.

On Wednesday, one of his aides, along with a businessman were picked up at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

They were subsequently remanded for six days.
