Former Perlis MB to be charged with graft today


PETALING JAYA: A former mentri besar of Perlis will be charged with corruption in the Kangar Sessions Court today.

A check on the e-kehakiman website showed that Datuk Seri Azlan Man (pic) was named as the accused to be charged before judge Norsalha Hamzah at 9am.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) also sent a notice to the media about the charge.

The 65-year-old former Perlis Umno chief was former Pauh assemblyman between 2013 and 2018, and former Bintong assemblyman from 2018 to 2022.

He was Perlis mentri besar from 2013 to 2022 before losing in the general election last year.

According to Utusan Malaysia, he is expected to be charged under Section 18 of the MACC Act.
