KUALA LUMPUR: The government has allocated RM5mil under the 2023 Budget for upgrading and providing of infrastructure for courts hearing cases under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, the Senate was told.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Legal and Institutional Reforms) Ramkarpal Singh said on Tuesday (April 4) that a conducive and child-friendly court would help the children concerned in giving good evidence, thus ensuring smooth court proceedings.
