Man reported missing in Semporna


KOTA KINABALU: A man in Semporna was reported missing by his family members after he failed to return home on Monday (March 20).

Gan Ka Keat, 31, was last seen in a black T-shirt and black shorts with slippers and a cap when he left his house at Kampung Perigi around noon, according to Semporna police.

District police chief Supt Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said a police report on the missing person was filed on Wednesday (March 22) at 9.15am when he still could not be traced.

"Based on early information, the man who is single, has no problems with his family members.

"Police urged members of the public, who have information on the missing person, to contact the Semporna police station at 089-782 020 or the station chief Insp Mustapha Abdul Majid at 010-551 7617, or any nearby police stations," he added in a statement on Thursday (March 23).
