Drunk who brutally attacked woman nabbed

A MAN in Tamil Nadu who brutally attacked and robbed a female lecturer in broad daylight has been arrested, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Seethaletchumi, 53, a lecturer at Anna University in Trichy, was on her regular morning walk in a park when a man stalked her and hit her on the head from behind.

When she was knocked out, he robbed her of her handphone and took off on a bike.

A passer-by who saw the attack called the police and got her to hospital where she is in stable condition.

The man was identified from CCTV footage and he was arrested soon after.

M. Thanabalan, 38, who runs a motorbike repair shop in Teluk Pulai, Selangor, said he found out about the scheme known as Program Pembangunan Usahawan India Selangor from friends on Facebook.

Having applied for the scheme nearly a year ago, he was happy to receive notification that he had been approved for assistance worth nearly RM10,000.
