Umrah permit applications for Ramadan 1444H now open

KUALA LUMPUR: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on Wednesday announced that applications for permits to perform the Umrah during Ramadan 1444H are now open.

The ministry, in a statement uploaded on its official Twitter page, said that the application was open to all Saudi citizens and foreigners by complying with the stipulated conditions.

"Applications should be made through the smartphone application 'Nusuk' or 'Tawakkalna' on the condition that the applicant is free of Covid-19 infection and not in close contact with any Covid-19 patient", he said.

The statement also added that Umrah permits for foreigners are valid for up to 90 days, while reminding pilgrims not to overstay in Saudi Arabia beyond that period. - Bernama
